Description

I've started a podcast with a few friends and I thought it's a great opportunity to draw some artwork for it! Our first episode is going to be Judge Dredd (1995) vs Dredd (2012) to stay updated on the podcast including the release date of our first episode follow our Twitter page here

I'm sure plenty of hilarity will ensue.

The Podcast is now LIVE! You can find it here!

This is a staggering piece of artwork, espically for the cover to a podcast...

Smacking almost of a Dredd sequel poster, I love the way Old Joe is sternly eyeing us whilst clutching two Lawgivers, which I believe are the '95 MK2 on the right and the '12 MK2 on the left. The lack of colour, instead going for a bleak palette is very captivating, bringing to the surface the grimy nature of Joe's live and the atmosphere of the Big Meg. I also like how the red is the only other colour bar black, white and grey and how the red settles on the helmet, almost as if a Juve coloured it with his own blood before subcoming to his wounds.

But with every compliment, comes a critique; for me, the lack of gold or yellow on the helmet crest, shoulder pads and badge unfortunately ruins the image. Dredd's world may have forgotten the old red, white and blue of the United States of 'Merica but one can simply not forget the red, black and gold of a MC1 Jay's Uniform. It is the thing you see lurking on every street corner, assuring you you are safe....so long as you don't break the law.

All in all, you do the Justice Department a credit and you should feel proud of such stunning artwork.
